Day 1 (Tuesday)

We took the bus at 9:00 in the morning.

My seat was number one and I was next to someone from the institute although I didn't know him since he was a year younger than me, even so little by little we began to talk and we ended up getting along very well, also the companion in the back Alejandro friend of Mario he also joined and we had a long talk.

When we got there, the first thing we decided was to introduce ourselves, give us the phone numbers and clarify that no one could stay alone since it was possible to get lost. In this way we all introduce ourselves and talk a little about ourselves. In addition, as many of us had not traveled before or very rarely, we shared the information that we knew, clarifying everything we had to do and the rules of the airport.

A few hours later we ate together, taking the opportunity to get to know each other better, take photos.... we also coincided with the first division women's team of the doge

Then we decided to check-in because from the experiences of some of us we knew that if we didn't go soon we would have to wait a long time.

We had some problem with those under sixteen but we were able to solve it quickly so there was no major problem. Then we went through the security checkpoint and hung around the shops as we would have to board in a few more minutes.

Once on the plane there was no problem, the people were very nice and I even started speaking English with the people on the plane.

The trip was entertaining although we were a bit scared due to the turbulence.

Upon arrival our host brothers greeted us with signs and hugs so we felt very comfortable.

On the bus we took the opportunity to get to know each other and put on all kinds of music, we stopped to eat a little and continued the trip that lasted about three hours.

We finally got to the institute and I met the parents of the family. Since my sister has a cousin who is also in the Erasmus program, we took them home where I met the uncles, cousins, dogs...

And finally I got home where I met the brother who was very kind, and we went to rest

Day 2 (Wednesday)

It was the first day of high school so I was a bit nervous about the uniform, classes, classmates...

I got up at half past seven in the morning, we had breakfast, we got dressed and we went to school.

Once there we went to get the schedules, we met the director, MS Fogerty... And we went around the institute.

I rang the bell and went to my first class, arts, in which I was the only exchange student so I was a bit shy between and they quickly welcomed me, inviting me to sit with them and start drawing.

The truth is that I enjoyed it very much.

This is how the classes passed in which I met a lot of people, I took advantage of speaking English and learning new things. Suddenly we arrived at a class called LCVP in which we did not expect to meet more Spanish people and much less Mexican, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian people...

In the middle of the class, the megaphone sounded, we called the exchange students in the dining room and there was the director and the teachers with whom we would do the activities. They welcomed us, indicated the rules such as not being able to use the cell phone, asked us a little about ourselves, laughed and took photos.

The next hour they let us take photos around the institute for the blog since we had asked their permission. Then it was lunchtime where I talked to the people I had met and learned a lot about the cultures of various countries. We also found out that they played basketball in the gym, so without hesitation we went and played with everyone from the institute, which was a lot of fun.

The classes continued and the truth is that in many we could not participate as they were about activities that they would do later or that only involved the Irish, but it was still entertaining.

In this way we left the institute at 16:00 more or less and I went to the meeting point I had with the family, from which we left for home.

That same day it turned out that we had arranged to meet Maggie's family (the mother) and we headed there. I met his sister Geralgine and Asus four son, who were really kind. Around 17:00 we returned home where we ate Bolognese pasta and garlic bread and rested for a while. Then we went to the father's sister's house, where I met more cousins and Asus dogs who were adorable. From there we left at 8:00 p.m. to go to Molly's music classes, in which the teacher made us sing and dance.

Day 3 (Thursday)

The third day was like the second, I woke up, went to the institute and there I greeted everyone and found out what class I had to go to.

At lunchtime we went back to the gym and to my surprise there was no basketball but table tennis. Even so, I joined and started playing with everyone.

In the afternoon the whole family played hurling, rugby, basketball, we also jumped on the trampoline... We went shopping at a store and they let me choose what I wanted so I bought the reesis, some American sweets made with peanut butter and chocolate . Finally we came back and had dinner with what we had bought, kebab and went to sleep.

Day 4 (Friday)

When I got ready to go to school it turns out that we didn't go directly because we went to a store, that surprised me a bit but it turned out that we were going to buy food at the supermarket, there was a stand where they made food for you live. I ordered a wrap of tuna, corn, olives and mayonnaise that was also very good; We bought some sweets.

At lunch we chatted with our high school classmates and decided to change classes, so we went to the principal's office and told him about it.

In the afternoon Paul's friend came to the house and introduced us. After a while we all started playing in some public hurling courts that were in the town where the mother worked. We stayed there for a few hours and went back to the mother's bar. Once there we play the darkness in the back room, a game that tries to find people with the light off. We got some sweets and went into the bar where I met more of Maggie's family.

We then drove home and picked up Aimee and her friend, who stayed for dinner. We ate pizza and onion rings and talked the rest of the night.

day 5 (Saturday)

On the fifth day I woke up super happy because we were going to surf, which is one of my favorite sports. We took the bus and I sat down with Candela, who told me how the family was doing and what they had done. Then we put music on the bus so we started singing. In addition, we combine the English songs with the Spanish ones in such a way that we all listen to new music and while we're at it, we have a laugh.

Upon arrival we went to the cliffs of moha which was a beautiful place where we took photos, read about the history there and played lots of games that were in the "cave".

Then we ate, took the bus and headed to the surf shop. There they explained to us how to put on the wetsuits and gave us instructions on how to get on the boards, paddle...

It was very funny to see how everyone fell or how others managed it, but with some and with others I laughed.

Also at night, Sofi, Enea's hist sister, prepared a party for her birthday to which quite a few people from Spain went and we met other people from other countries.

The parties are different from the ones here, they prepare food and they are in houses so you cannot go without an invitation. Honestly, it was a very good opportunity to have fun learning a different style of partying.

day 6 (Sunday)

We didn't get up very early since it was a rest day, we had a quiet breakfast and then we went to limerick. After an hour or so of driving, we arrived. It was lunchtime so we parked the car and headed Maggie, Mike, Molly and I to the restaurant. This turned out to be a Chinese buffet in which there were machines that walked quietly through the corridors, a lot of different food..., specifically, I tried the suchi, the woks and some rice.

After that we went for dessert, which also had a great variety and I chose some marshmallows that I spread in the chocolate fountain.

We finished eating and walked around for a while until we found all the shops and entered Pennis, which is the Primark in Spain but being originally from there, they changed its name. I bought some tights and socks and after a few more shops we went home.

day 7 (Monday)

Monday was the first day we started at TY, so I went to class with Molly and a lot of other people like Ruby and Candela, Marina, Andrea, Carolina...

The classes were quite entertaining but the one I liked the most was the one on home economics where we prepared some delicious spaghetti bolognese.

When we got home they had prepared us a stewed chicken and boiled vegetables that were quite typical there, and surprisingly I quite liked them. Also that day we went to the music night organized by the institute and we listened to a lot of music with instruments or typical songs from there. It was also an unforgettable night as we participated in numerous regional dances that were hilarious. I think I will never forget that night.

day 8 (Tuesday)

Being in the fourth year, we had different activities such as cooking. That day we played sports, for this we went to the gym by bus. I had a gym but there were also other activities such as hiking and swimming and since I liked swimming more, I asked to change.

When we got back to school we had Spanish class, and instead of teaching, we went out to the patio and they taught us the typical sports like Gaelic football and hurling.

When you get home rest as it had been an exhausting day. At night Mally and Paul called me since the day before we had bought a kit of gingerbread cookies so we decorated them and ate them (they looked better than they tasted).

day 9 (Wednesday)

On Wednesday we got up at 6:30 as we had to catch the bus very early, we were going to the plogging!

Once on the premises, they gave us indications such as the return time or the notable sites such as the fair. Then we divided into groups of friends and went to visit him. At the entrance there were mostly animals or farm utensil stores but as you went deeper you saw food places, sports stores, information stands...

In my case, I went to the information booths since they gave gifts and you saw a store, there I bought a kamobi ball. Later we took something to eat and went to the fair where there were giant attractions. Going back to the bus we looked for the real plowing, that is, where the tractors were... We ended up finding it and just saw how the judges judged the plows. Finally we had to go back as it was time.

day 10 (Thursday)

When I woke up I was exhausted by the accumulated fatigue of the previous day. Still, I mustered up the desire and got out of bed.

When I got to high school, I had a barista class, that is, making coffee and decorating it. Two guys explained to us how to make them and gave us the opportunity to prepare a coffee for each one. When it was my turn I asked to make a cappuccino with chocolate since I don't like the taste of coffee too much, but to tell the truth I quite liked it.

In the afternoon the whole family went to a gas station, at first I was a little surprised but then they told me that it was typical since there were many fast food places there. Afterwards we were in the one euro store since Maggie and Mike knew that I was very excited.

day 11 (Friday)

On Friday we went to eat at a bar where they gave us nuggets and a chocolate shake that I loved. Also a few days before we had seen a poster about a qween concert so that night we went there. It turned out to be in the next town so the trip was short. Everyone there knew Mike and everyone was very nice to me. The concert was in a public venue where concerts were given, there were bingo nights...

When he started singing he didn't know the songs, but as the concert progressed the songs became more popular so he knew them and sang them at the top of his lungs. It was a very fun night since the singer, depending on the song, dressed up or changed his clothes.

day 12 (Saturday)

On Saturday I had beaguel for breakfast which I had never tried before and I loved it. Then we went to Paul's friend Dylan's house, and I met his parents and their dog. We went up to his room and played a game that involved talking with your mouth open and trying to say a sentence so that the others would understand you, it was a lot of fun. Then we went to the house of Paul's friend, Billy. The truth is that it was a beautiful house in the mountains, it had a beautiful motorcycle, which we were decorated with stickers. We finally went home with all the friends and Father Mike showed us what Molly and I saw in the town paper which made us a little embarrassed and quite a bit of laughter.

day 13 (Sunday)

As Paul's friends had stayed the night and it was my last weekend before leaving, they prepared a salty breakfast, with bacon, sausages, black pudding...

We went out to the patio, we played a little and then Molly and I went to get Candela to take her on the field trip. Once there, we visited a beautiful castle where Ms. Fogarty took many photos of us and then we went to the cinema, where we saw Batman.

It was great as we finally decided to go to the Chinese for dinner and I ordered some delicious spring rolls.

day 14 (Monday)

At the institute we cooked meals from all the regions of the people who were in the home economics class and I cooked sweet and sour chicken with noodles with some girls from there, which was delicious.

In the afternoon I was preparing my suitcase, and I realized that I was missing my ID! So a little stressed, I called my parents and the teachers who arranged everything I had to do to be able to fly without problems.

day 15 (Thursday)

On Tuesday we went to the embassy, so I slept longer and felt great. I was already calmer so I decided to enjoy the experience of traveling to Dublin.

There we ate at McDonald's, but we had to eat quickly since we didn't have time. We took a taxi and went to the embassy while the taxi driver explained to us what we were seeing.

Everyone at the embassy helped me and was very nice.

After catching the train Ms. Fogarty took me to a store as I had asked her to finish shopping for gifts.

Once I arrived at the house, I gave them some flowers and some chocolates that touched them very much and they thanked me. Then I went up to my room to finish my suitcase and when I came down they surprised me with lots of sweets for Spain, a sweatshirt and bracelet, and a candle for my mother. They had also bought me Chinese food to say goodbye due to everything that I liked so much.

day 16 (Wednesday)

We had pancakes with syrup and chocolate as a farewell breakfast that were delicious and I loved them. Then I made sure I had everything and we went to the bus.

Once on the bus, I said goodbye to the mother with great enthusiasm and we got on the bus.

Finally, after a day of travel, I arrived in Logroño and was received by my friends and family, which I loved.

PD: I recomend the experience to everyone. It´s unic and unforgetable. I just think that is the best experience that i have ever had.
